PUBG May 2025 Store update brings the Demon Lords Survivor Pass, Sweet and Deadly bee collection, and Progressive Demon’s Touch ACE32 skin.

I still remember logging into PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS in May 2025 and feeling like the Store had decided to personally test my self-control. It was the fifth Store update of that year, and it came packed with a brand-new Survivor Pass, a Progressive ACE32 skin with a Chroma, the Sweet and Deadly collection, and even some much-needed animation upgrades for hairstyles. Did I need another cosmetic rabbit hole? Probably not. Did I dive in anyway? Absolutely.

The first thing that grabbed me was the new Survivor Pass built around an ominous theme. The artwork screamed ancient spirits and rising Demon Lords: Suit up, or be devoured. I mean, how could I ignore that? The timing on PC started May 14 after live server maintenance and ran until June 11, while console players got it from May 22 to June 19. I remember planning my grind around those windows.

Looking back from 2026, that pass still feels like one of the more menacing seasonal themes. It wasn't just about collecting levels; it was about whether you wanted to cosplay as something that could devour squads. The demons may be gone from the featured store now, but I would not be surprised if they resurface through the Workshop or Your Shop. That is the thing about PUBG cosmetics: they have a sneaky way of returning.

Then came the Sweet and Deadly collection, and I will admit it: I cackled at the concept. A bee warrior? It sounds cute until you get knocked by someone dressed like a honeycomb assassin. The tagline said sweet like honey, but with a deadly sting, and honestly, that was the perfect mix of silly and terrifying. This collection had a much longer window: PC players could grab it from May 14 all the way to January 7, 2026, and console players until January 15, 2026. Since we are now in 2026, those early-2026 end dates are either just behind us or quickly approaching depending on when you read this. If you missed it, keep an eye on future promotions because the note about returns still applies.

Was the bee skin practical? Maybe not. But there is something hilarious about dropping into a hot zone and seeing a bee warrior rush a building. It's the kind of cosmetic that makes you smile right before you get melted. 🐝

Then there was the real showstopper for weapon-skin fanatics: the [PROGRESSIVE] Demon's Touch - ACE32 and its Chroma version in Yellow Teal. I remember staring at the preview video because the skin literally grows more sinister as you level it up, and it comes with a demonic kill effect. The thought of my ACE32 unleashing something unholy on a final-circle squad was extremely tempting.

The sales period ran from May 14 to October 15 on PC and May 22 to October 23 on console. There was also a nice first-purchase hook: Demon's Touch - Contraband Crate Open 10 offered a 50% discount for the first purchase. I definitely told myself I would only open one crate. Narrator voice: I did not open only one crate.

For anyone chasing odds, the probabilities for Contraband Crate items were available on the Hideout - Contraband - More Details - View Probabilities page. I checked that page more than I care to admit, because knowing the math somehow made the gamble feel more respectable. It did not stop me from hoping for the Chroma, though.

One underrated detail from that update was the hairstyle animation. Several existing Hairstyle items received animation to create more natural-looking hair movement. I know that sounds like a small thing, but when you are in the pre-game lobby waiting for the plane, that little movement makes characters feel alive. It was a quality-of-life visual touch that I did not know I wanted until I saw it.

Here's a quick recap of the feature availability windows:

Feature PC Window Console Window
Demon Lords-themed Survivor Pass May 14 - June 11, 2025 May 22 - June 19, 2025
Sweet and Deadly collection May 14, 2025 - Jan 7, 2026 May 22, 2025 - Jan 15, 2026
ACE32 Demon's Touch Progressive and Chroma May 14 - Oct 15, 2025 May 22 - Oct 23, 2025

Since we are now in 2026, the ACE32 and Survivor Pass windows have definitely closed, while the Sweet and Deadly end dates landed at the very start of 2026. But PUBG's note was clear: all featured items may become available again at a later date via the Workshop, Your Shop, or other in-game features. So if you are like me and missed a piece of the bee warrior set or the final level of the Demon's Touch, do not lose hope. The loot pool has a way of resurrecting exactly the skin you convinced yourself you did not need. 😈

In the end, that May 2025 Store update was a lesson in temptation. It combined horror aesthetics, a bizarrely lovable bee warrior, a progressive weapon with real presence, and small animation upgrades that made the whole roster feel fresher. Would I spend again if those items returned? I would love to say no. But we both know the answer.
